Did you Know...
There are five basic parts to a refrigeration unit (as well as an air conditioner)? These are:

The Compressor

The Outer Heat-Exchange Pipes:
serpentine or coiled set of pipes outside the unit for dissipating heat.

The Expansion Valve

The Inner Heat-exchange pipes:
serpentine or coiled set of pipes built inside the unit to absorb heat.

Liquid Refrigerant:
a liquid that evaporates inside the refrigerator to create the cold temperatures. |
Many industrial industrial installations use pure ammonia as the refrigerant. Pure ammonia evaporates at -27 degrees Fahrenheit (-32 degrees Celsius).
